If you could create your own new god, please describe it?

i've been deeply moved by my experience of browsing

http://www.godchecker.com/

Godchecker.com - Your Guide To The Gods. Mythology with a twist!

It is a project to profile the gods of the human species. A dossier is included, along with a little section called 'vital statistics', where you can compare each god objectively.

I am amazed. it gives me such a strong feeling of understanding humans' belief in supernatural beings. having them all there together on one site, with descriptions that err on the side of the comical and are refreshingly devoid of over enthusiastic reverence (that so often seems hollow) ... i have such a feeling of knowing, for sure, that there is no one true god. there are thousands, as it says.

and don't we humans have fantastic imaginations! the demons are way better than in any pc game!

also, note the common theme of gods being immortal and/or allowing us to be immortal. i think this is the basis of religious belief.

If you could create your own new god, please describe it?
It would be Fred, the God of atheism. He would be the first God whose followers don't believe in him.
Reply:There is one true God
Reply:nothing I create could be better than Jesus Christ so why try?
Reply:Excellent site. I have to bookmark it. (Yes, it's possible even to forget such an easy URL.)

My god would be Quistis, goddess of mythology, because mythology just isn't self-aware these days.
Reply:If I could create Him, then I would be G-d; not Him!

G-d alone creates. All else duplicates, copies or imitates.

Not even satan can create life. He can only kill, steal %26amp; destroy.
Reply:Thanks for the chance, but I really can't top the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

And thanks for the reference.

One suggestion to resolve all this is that if there is a God, He has been revealing Himself to His people since the start, He just does so in ways that a particular people can best understand. Is that sacrilege? I dunno. It seems to have a ring of truth to it, simply considering how He revealed himself at different times within the Jewish and Christian scriptures.
Reply:It would be a benign small creature sent by God to help me find bargains, do household chores, cook delicious food, pass under all green lights, etc etc. Looks like a cross between Martha Stewart and a bichon frise. Also small enough to carry in my shirt pocket.
Reply:while this question poses an interesting idea, my God is the 1 true God, and He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, the God of the Universe... I AM... the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob.... father Jesus holy spirit God...

yeah praise Him who sits on the throne and praise to the lamb who was slain for us
Reply:"Thou shalt not have no other Gods before me (HIM)."
Reply:pocket sized , available upon request, more like a genie in the bottle with never ending wishes granted and only available to myself and no maintenance whatsoever (like praying going to church etc..)
